Bride and Groom
'Bride and Groom' Summary
Dr. Bancroft, fresh out of medical school, is struggling to attract patients to his fledgling practice. His fiancée, Mary, is set to arrive for a visit, and he desperately wants to impress her with his success. In a moment of desperation, he and his friends concoct a plan to make him appear busier than he actually is. This involves hiring a fake doctor to pose as a patient and creating a scene with 'robbery' attempts. The scheme, however, backfires spectacularly as the charade spirals out of control, leading to a hilarious series of misunderstandings and chaotic encounters. Meanwhile, Mary, observing the supposed bustling activity around her fiancé, feels a mixture of excitement and concern. She is caught between her admiration for his apparent success and a growing suspicion about the truth. As the truth about the scheme unfolds, Mary must decide whether she can trust her fiancé and if their love can withstand the consequences of his deception. 'Bride and Groom' is a charming and humorous story that celebrates the power of love and forgiveness and the importance of honesty in relationships. The book's whimsical charm and witty dialogue are sure to entertain readers with its comedic portrayal of love, marriage, and the lengths we go to for the people we care about.Book Details
