Fuel of Fire
'Fuel of Fire' Summary
Guy Baxendale, the heir to Baxendale Hall, falls in love with a forester's daughter named Marian. However, his parents forbid their marriage, as they believe that Marian is a witch. Marian is eventually burned at the stake, and before she dies, she curses the Baxendale family, saying that they will never know true love. The curse comes true, and for generations, the Baxendales are unable to find happiness in love. However, one day, a young woman named Anne arrives at Baxendale Hall. Anne is different from any other woman the Baxendales have ever met. She is intelligent, independent, and kind. Guy falls in love with Anne, and she with him. However, the curse still hangs over the Baxendales, and they must find a way to break it before they can be truly happy.Book Details
