'Gem Collector' Summary
When Jimmy Crocker returns to England from New York City after his uncle's death, he finds himself drawn back into his old life of crime. Despite his best intentions to go straight, Jimmy can't resist the temptation to steal a valuable necklace from a wealthy socialite. However, Jimmy's plans are complicated by the unexpected arrival of Valerie Masterson, the daughter of a retired policeman. Valerie is immediately suspicious of Jimmy, but she is also attracted to his charm and wit. As Jimmy and Valerie spend more time together, they begin to fall in love. However, Jimmy's criminal past and Valerie's father's suspicions threaten to keep them apart. Jimmy must find a way to clear his name and win Valerie's trust if he wants to have a future with her.Book Details
