'My Danish Sweetheart Volume 1' Summary
My Danish Sweetheart is a classic maritime romance novel that tells the story of young Hugh Tregarthen, a coxswain of a lifeboat in a seafaring Cornish family. Despite his mother's misgivings, Hugh is dedicated to his dangerous job, which makes him a source of both pride and worry for his family. One morning, as Hugh sets out for his boat, his invalid mother warns him of an ominous dream she had the previous night. Hugh laughs it off, but sometimes, dreams come true. When Hugh's boat is caught in a storm, he is thrown overboard and presumed dead. However, he is rescued by a Danish ship and taken to Copenhagen, where he falls in love with a young Danish woman. Hugh must now choose between his new life in Denmark and his old life in Cornwall.Book Details
