Honey-Moon
by John Tobin
'Honey-Moon' Summary
The Honeymoon revolves around the spirited Juliana, who initially resists the advances of Count Montalban. However, she finds herself drawn to his charm and wit. Their relationship is complicated by the intervention of the Duke of Aranza, who has designs on Juliana himself. To further complicate matters, a series of mistaken identities and elaborate schemes unfold, fueled by the machinations of various characters. The play culminates in a humorous and heartwarming resolution, where Juliana and Montalban overcome their differences and find true love and happiness. The play is filled with clever dialogue, playful banter, and a touch of dramatic tension, all interwoven with a light-hearted tone, characteristic of Restoration-era romantic comedies.Book Details
