'Leave it to Doris' Summary
Doris is a young woman who is determined to find a husband. She believes that her father's new curate, the Reverend John Caldwell, is the perfect man for her. However, John is not interested in Doris. He is in love with Fay, Doris's younger sister. Doris is heartbroken, but she is not about to give up. She is determined to win John's heart, no matter what it takes. Doris's attempts to win John's heart are often clumsy and misguided, but they are always well-intentioned. She is a kind and caring person, and she truly believes that she and John are meant to be together. In the end, Doris's persistence pays off.
