'Martin Chuzzlewit' Summary
Martin Chuzzlewit is a wealthy but miserly old man who is surrounded by relatives eager to inherit his fortune. Among them is his grandson, young Martin, who is deeply in love with Mary, Old Martin's ward. However, Old Martin, blinded by his own bitterness and suspicions, disinherits his grandson and sends him off on an adventure to America. This journey proves to be a transformative experience for young Martin, who encounters various individuals, experiences hardship, and ultimately learns valuable lessons about life and himself.
