„Meister Floh“ ist ein fantasievolles Märchen von E.T.A. Hoffmann, das den introvertierten Träumer Peregrinus Tyß in eine Welt voller Zauber und Rätsel führt. Als er an Heiligabend einem armen Buchbinder Geschenke bringt, begegnet er der rätselhaften Dörtje Elverdink, die ihn um Aufnahme bittet. Doch Dörtje ist nicht, was sie zu sein scheint. Sie ist in Wahrheit Prinzessin Gamaheh, wieder zum Leben erweckt, und sucht einen Gefangenen, von dem Peregrinus keine Ahnung hat. Inmitten dieser Verwirrung trifft Peregrinus den Meister Floh, ein weiser und gelehrter Floh, der vor dem skrupellosen Flohbändiger geflohen ist. Der Meister Floh erbittet Peregrinus' Hilfe, um zu verhindern, dass Dörtje ihn in ihre Gewalt bekommt, da dies die gesamte Flohgemeinschaft wieder in die Sklaverei führen würde. Die Geschichte ist voller surrealer Elemente, überraschender Wendungen und tiefgründiger philosophischer Fragen, die die Grenzen zwischen Realität und Traum verwischen.Book Details
