Michael Strogoff, een loyale koerier van de Tsaar, krijgt de opdracht om een belangrijke brief naar zijn broer, de Grootvorst van Irkoetsk, te brengen. Hij ontmoet Nadia, een jong meisje dat hem helpt en verliefd op hem wordt. Samen proberen ze de vijanden te ontwijken en de brief op tijd te bezorgen.
