'Miserables: Tomo I' Summary
Jean Valjean, un hombre condenado a 19 años de prisión por robar un pan, sale de la cárcel con un pasado que lo atormenta. Después de un acto de misericordia, Valjean se transforma en un hombre de bien y decide dedicar su vida a ayudar a los necesitados. Sin embargo, la ley en la figura del implacable inspector Javert, no lo deja vivir una vida tranquila. El destino lo reúne con Fantine, una mujer que lucha por cuidar a su hija Cosette. A lo largo de la novela, Valjean protege a Cosette y lucha por la justicia, un camino que lo lleva a enfrentar la Rebelión de junio de 1832 en las calles de París. Esta insurrección estudiantil es la culminación de la lucha por la libertad y la justicia que se vive en la novela, y que representa un escenario donde se mezclan la lucha por la supervivencia con la búsqueda de la redención y la esperanza.Book Details
