'Miss Philura's Wedding Gown' Summary
Miss Philura Bartlett is a kind-hearted, middle-aged spinster who lives in a small New England town. She has always been content with her life, but she begins to feel a longing for something more. One day, she decides to ask God for a husband. To her surprise, her prayer is answered, and she is soon engaged to marry a wealthy widower. However, her newfound happiness is short-lived. The townspeople are disapproving of her marriage, and they begin to spread rumors about her. Miss Philura's faith is tested, but she refuses to give up on her dream of love.
