'Nez d’un notaire' Summary
A respected Parisian notary, Alfred L'Ambert, finds himself in a duel after a dispute with a Turkish rival over a 14-year-old ballet dancer. During the duel, L'Ambert loses his nose, prompting him to seek the help of a surgeon for a skin graft. The donor, Chébachtien Romagné, is a simple man from the Auvergne region. L'Ambert must endure 30 days with his face pressed against Romagné's arm as the graft heals. However, even after the procedure, L'Ambert's troubles are far from over.Book Details
