'Old French Romances' Summary
The first tale, "The Tale of King Coustans the Emperor", recounts the extraordinary journey of Coustans, an abandoned child who ascends to the Byzantine throne. "The Friendship of Amis and Amile" depicts the unwavering bond between two knights, Amis and Amile, who face trials and tribulations together.
