'Old French Romances' Summary
The first tale, "The Tale of King Coustans the Emperor", recounts the extraordinary journey of Coustans, an abandoned child who ascends to the Byzantine throne. "The Friendship of Amis and Amile" depicts the unwavering bond between two knights, Amis and Amile, who face trials and tribulations together. In "The Tale of King Florus and the Fair Jehane", the reader encounters parallel stories of two couples: Florus and his desire for an heir, and Jehane and Robin, whose quest for redemption intertwines with Florus's story.
