'Pirate Island: A Story of the South Pacific' Summary
The Galatea sets sail from England to Australia, but a storm soon shipwrecks the vessel. The crew and passengers are stranded on a desert island, where they are soon set upon by a band of pirates. The pirates enslave the survivors and force them to work in their gold mines. But a daring rescue is planned, and with the help of a friendly native tribe, the captives are able to escape. They then set sail for home, but their journey is not without its dangers. They must face storms, pirates, and other perils before they finally reach England.Book Details
