Saved at Sea
'Saved at Sea' Summary
Alick, born and raised in a lighthouse, longs for something different. One turbulent night, he and his grandfather, the lighthouse keeper, answer a distress call, only to find themselves rescuing a baby girl from a ship that had crashed during the storm. The identity of her parents remains a mystery, leaving Alick and his grandfather to ponder the fate of the ship’s passengers. As they care for the baby, whom they nickname 'Timpey', they struggle with their own doubts and the weight of responsibility, finding themselves confronted with the complex questions of family, faith, and the meaning of home. The story follows their journey as they navigate the complexities of caring for a child in a solitary lighthouse, facing the uncertainty of the future, and ultimately discovering the transformative power of love and the enduring strength of their bond with the little girl. Through this journey, 'Saved at Sea' explores themes of compassion, resilience, and the profound impact of unexpected events on shaping our destinies.Book Details
