Three Homilies concerning the Power of Demons
'Three Homilies concerning the Power of Demons' Summary
In his homilies, Chrysostom argues that the world is not abandoned to the dominion of devils, or to the irresistible course of fate. Instead, he argues that man has the free will to choose between good and evil, and that he is morally responsible for his choices. He also stresses the importance of divine grace in helping man to resist temptation and live a virtuous life. Chrysostom's homilies are a powerful reminder of the human condition, and of the importance of free will, moral responsibility, and divine grace.Book Details
