Valley of Silent Men
'Valley of Silent Men' Summary
In the furthest outreaches of the Great White North, where three great rivers flow - the Athabasca, the Slave, and the McKenzie - lies the Valley of Silent Men. It is here that James Kent, a terminally ill man, decides to confess to a murder in order to save an innocent man. But nobody believes his confession, particularly Marette, a mysterious girl who has recently arrived at Athabasca Landing. Kent's illness takes a turn for the better, and he sets about to find out more about Marette, who he eventually falls in love with. However, Marette refuses to reveal her past to him, or what she knows about the murder. As Kent investigates further, he uncovers a web of intrigue and suspense that leads him to the Valley of Silent Men, where the truth about the murder - and Marette's own past - is finally revealed.Book Details
