'Wanted' Summary
Rebecca Meredith's life has been marked by loss and rejection. After losing her mother, brother, and sister, and with her fiancé marrying someone else, she moves to a new city to start over. She finds work as a nanny for the McKenzie family, but she soon becomes disillusioned by the cold and unfeeling behavior of Mr. McKenzie toward his invalid wife. As Rebecca grapples with her own feelings of loneliness and belonging, she begins to unravel the secrets that have torn the McKenzie family apart. She learns about the tragic accident that left Mrs. McKenzie an invalid and the guilt that has haunted Mr. McKenzie ever since. Through her compassion and understanding, Rebecca helps the McKenzies heal their wounds and find forgiveness. As Rebecca witnesses the power of love and forgiveness, she begins to see her own life in a new light. She realizes that she is not unwanted after all, but that she is deeply loved by God and the people around her.Book Details
