Wynken, Blynken, and Nod
by Eugene Field
'Wynken, Blynken, and Nod' Summary
In the poem, three little boys named Wynken, Blynken, and Nod embark on a fantastical adventure in a wooden shoe boat. As they sail through the starlit sky, they encounter a fish that transforms into a moon, providing them with light to guide their way. They also catch a star, which becomes a lantern, further illuminating their journey. Along the way, they sing a lullaby and drift off to sleep, their tiny boat cradled by the gentle waves beneath the twinkling stars.Book Details
