«Человек в футляре» — это рассказ Антона Чехова, повествующий о жизни Беликова, учителя греческого языка, который боится всего нового и необычного. Он живет в постоянном страхе перед начальством, общественным мнением и любыми проявлениями жизни, которые могут вывести его из зоны комфорта. Его страхи настолько глубоко укоренены, что он изолирует себя от окружающего мира, создавая вокруг себя своеобразный «футляр». Беликов - это символ консерватизма, страха перед изменениями и ограничений, характерных для многих людей того времени. Через образ Беликова Чехов критикует общественные устои, инертность и боязнь всего нового. Рассказ наполнен сатирическим юмором, который подчеркивает трагикомический характер жизни Беликова и его безуспешную попытку убежать от действительности.
