'dernier jour d'un condamné' Summary
Le roman suit un homme anonyme qui est condamné à mort pour un crime qu'il nie avoir commis. Le récit se déroule dans les 24 heures précédant son exécution, alors qu'il est confiné dans sa cellule. Il passe en revue sa vie, ses dernières semaines depuis son procès, ses pensées sur la justice, la religion et la société. Le condamné est tourmenté par la peur de la mort, mais aussi par le sentiment d'injustice. Il se demande si la peine de mort est vraiment juste et si elle est vraiment un moyen de dissuasion pour la criminalité.
