Victor Frankenstein, ein junger und ehrgeiziger Wissenschaftler, ist fasziniert von der Möglichkeit, Leben zu erschaffen. In einem geheimen Labor gelingt es ihm, aus verschiedenen Körperteilen ein menschliches Wesen zusammenzusetzen. Doch als er die Kreatur zum Leben erweckt, ist er entsetzt von ihrem hässlichen Aussehen und ihrer gewaltigen Gestalt. Aus Angst und Ekel verstößt er sein Geschöpf, das daraufhin von Einsamkeit und Rachegefühlen geplagt wird. Das Monster verfolgt Frankenstein und seine Familie, die es wegen seines Erscheinungsbildes ablehnen und fürchten. Es tötet Frankensteins jüngeren Bruder und seine geliebte Frau, wodurch der Wissenschaftler in tiefe Verzweiflung und Schuldgefühle gestürzt wird. Er begibt sich auf eine waghalsige Reise, um seine Kreatur aufzuhalten und zu vernichten, doch das Schicksal hat andere Pläne. Am Ende der Geschichte finden Frankenstein und seine Kreatur auf einer schiffbrecherischen Reise in der Arktis ein trauriges Ende.Book Details
