Invasion
'Invasion' Summary
In 'Invasion', a German invasion force successfully lands on the East Coast of England. Cutting communication lines and wreaking havoc on the countryside, the Germans advance, eventually reaching London and seizing control of half the city. Despite the Germans' harsh reprisals and the British lack of arms, a junior Member of Parliament, ignites a resistance movement known as the 'League of Defenders'. This uprising forces the Germans to tighten their control of the occupied territory. Meanwhile, a newly formed British Army mobilizes to liberate London. The novel concludes with a stalemate as German forces maintain their hold on Belgium and the Netherlands, creating a sense of lingering uncertainty about the future.Book Details
