'País del Placer' Summary
Lily Bart, perteneciente a la élite de la ciudad de Nueva York, busca un matrimonio ventajoso para asegurar su futuro. Atractiva, inteligente y con un gusto exquisito, su vida se ve envuelta en un frenesí de bailes, fiestas y conversaciones superficiales. Sin embargo, su arrogancia y falta de pragmatismo le impiden lograr su objetivo. A medida que Lily se acerca a la treintena, su situación se complica. Su posición social se tambalea por una serie de errores y decisiones equivocadas, y su búsqueda de un marido rico se vuelve cada vez más desesperada. Mientras la presión social se intensifica, Lily se debate entre sus ideales y la realidad de su situación.
