'Strange Gentleman' Summary
The play opens with the arrival of Mr. Owen Overton at the St. James Arms. He is looking for his friend, John Johnson, who is supposed to be staying at the inn. However, Johnson is not there, and Overton is soon mistaken for him by several other characters. This leads to a series of misunderstandings and mishaps, as Overton tries to figure out what is going on. Meanwhile, Johnson arrives at the inn, and he is also mistaken for someone else. The two men eventually meet, and they team up to try to sort out the confusion. In the end, everything is resolved, and the play ends with a happy ending.Book Details
