'Trabajos de Persiles y Sigismunda' Summary
La novela narra la historia de Periandro y Sigismunda, dos jóvenes enamorados que sufren una serie de desgracias que los separan. Tras un naufragio, Periandro se ve obligado a huir y se encuentra con un pueblo bárbaro que busca una joven para su rey. Para salvar a una doncella, Periandro decide disfrazarse de mujer y ofrecerse a los bárbaros como cautiva. Durante su viaje, se ve envuelto en una serie de aventuras y peligros, mientras busca a Sigismunda y trata de mantener su identidad en secreto. La historia se desarrolla en varios países, con encuentros con personajes de diferentes culturas y clases sociales. A través de sus pruebas, Periandro y Sigismunda se enfrentan a las fuerzas del destino, luchando por su amor y su libertad.
