Wolf-Leader
'Wolf-Leader' Summary
Thibault, a shoemaker, is unjustly punished by the Lord of Vez for hunting in the forbidden forest. Embittered and seeking revenge, he encounters a wolf in the woods, which he later realizes is the Devil in disguise. Driven by his resentment and a desire for power, Thibault accepts the Devil's offer to exchange his soul for supernatural abilities. He becomes the Wolf-Leader, commanding a pack of demonic wolves. As he wields his newfound power, he wrestles with the moral implications of his choice, his conscience battling with his desire for vengeance. His actions have far-reaching consequences, culminating in a climactic showdown that reveals the true price of his bargain. Dumas's tale explores the seductive allure of power, the fragility of morality, and the potential for darkness that lies within each of us.Book Details
