The Crime of the French Cafe and Other Stories by Nicholas Carter is a collection of three short stories featuring the fictional detective Nick Carter. In “The Crime of the French Cafe,” Nick Carter investigates the murder of a wealthy businessman in a French cafe. Nick Carter soon discovers that the murder is more complex than it seems, and he must use all of his skills to solve the crime. In “Nick Carter's Ghost Story,” Nick Carter encounters a ghost while investigating a haunted house. Nick Carter must determine if the ghost is real or if it is a hoax. In “The Mystery of St. Agnes Hospital,” Nick Carter investigates a series of mysterious deaths at a hospital.
