'Família Inglesa - Scenas da Vida do Porto' retrata a história de amor entre Carlos, um jovem de origem inglesa, e Cecília, uma jovem portuguesa, que se conhecem em um baile de carnaval no Porto. O amor surge em meio ao anonimato do evento, mas a paixão de Carlos é genuína, apesar de Cecília ser de uma classe social inferior.
