'Gondoliers' Summary
In the whimsical world of Gilbert and Sullivan, a grand mix-up unfolds. Two gondoliers, Marco and Giuseppe, are mistakenly identified as the long-lost heir to the throne of Barataria. The Grand Inquisitor, tasked with bringing them to their rightful place, is bewildered by their reluctance to leave their wives behind. Meanwhile, the actual king (who was stolen as a baby and raised as a gondolier) is also searching for his rightful place. The situation becomes further complicated when the King discovers he has three wives - not knowing which gondolier is truly his rightful heir. The plot revolves around the hilarious complications arising from mistaken identities, multiple wives, and the unexpected power dynamics that ensue when two humble gondoliers find themselves thrust into royal life.Book Details
