Sala Numero 6

sala numero 6

by Anton Chekhov

Set in a dilapidated asylum in a remote Russian town, Ward No. 6 is a haunting and incisive exploration of mental illness, medical malpractice, and the arbitrary divide between sanity and madness. Under the indifferent watch of Dr. Ragin, the asylum's patients are subjected to inhumane conditions and degrading treatment. Yet, as Ragin himself descends into madness and becomes the asylum's newest patient, Chekhov brilliantly blurs the lines between victim and perpetrator, sanity and insanity, revealing the fragility of human nature and the tragic consequences of neglect and abuse.
