In the small town of Le Havre, France, the Lebras family is thrown into turmoil when the patriarch of the family dies and leaves his entire fortune to his younger son, Jean. His older brother, Pierre, is devastated. He has always been the responsible and dutiful son, while Jean has been the carefree and irresponsible one. Pierre cannot understand why his father would have left everything to Jean. As Pierre delves deeper into the mystery of his father's will, he uncovers a web of secrets and lies that threaten to destroy his family.
