Planet Savers
'Planet Savers' Summary
On the planet Darkover, a Terran colony finds itself under threat from a devastating plague known as Trailmen's Fever. This disease, spread by the native Trailmen, poses a grave danger to the colonists, and their only hope lies in developing a serum to combat it. Dr. Jay Allison, a brilliant parasitologist, is tasked with creating the cure, but he faces a formidable obstacle—his own split personality. Allison struggles to control his alternate self, which harbors dangerous and unpredictable tendencies. Adding to the complexity, the Trailmen, who are wary of the colonists, must be persuaded to cooperate in the search for a cure. As tensions rise and time runs out, Allison must confront both the deadly plague and his inner demons, while navigating the delicate balance between scientific advancement and cultural understanding. The novel delves into the ethical dilemmas of scientific exploration, the power of cooperation in times of crisis, and the struggle for survival against an unseen enemy.Book Details
