Felix, a hypochondriac, believes he is terminally ill and seeks a second medical opinion. The diagnosis confirms his worst fears, giving him only a year to live. Desperate, he and his lover Marie contemplate suicide. However, Felix's initial reluctance gives way to acceptance, and they resolve to end their lives together.
