'Wrong Box' Summary
The Wrong Box is a comedic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson that centers around a bizarre tontine, a financial arrangement where the last survivor inherits the entire fund. The story revolves around two elderly men who are the last remaining participants in this tontine, as well as their relatives and associates. When one of the men is accidentally killed in a train crash, the surviving relative is determined to claim the tontine money for himself. However, a series of mishaps, mistaken identities, and unexpected deaths complicate the situation.
